Celebrating 123 Years of Ventnor City
Ventnor City is preparing to celebrate its 123rd anniversary on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Since its incorporation in 1903, the city has evolved from a Victorian-era retreat into a vibrant, year-round residential community, a transformation the city plans to highlight during this milestone anniversary.
Anniversary and Community Gathering
The Office of Special Events, coordinated by Donna Peterson, has listed the celebration as a key community gathering. Interestingly, the anniversary coincides with St. Patrick’s Day, providing a dual reason for celebration. The event will take place at the City Hall and Municipal Complex at 12:00 p.m..
Looking Toward the Spring Calendar
This anniversary celebration is the latest addition to a robust 2026 calendar. Residents can also look forward to the upcoming April Fools Half Marathon on April 12 and the return of the city’s well-attended summer concert series at Ski Beach.
As the city prepares for these events, the municipal office is actively seeking support, including part-time special events staff and summer camp counselors for the Recreation Sports Camp. Residents interested in participating in the planning or execution of these seasonal activities can find more information on the city's official website.
